Hiding From Love

The author explains that when we experience emotional injury, our first impulse is to hide the hurting parts of ourselves from God, others, and even ourselves. These patterns of hiding our injuries and frailties in childhood to protect ourselves in a threatening environment, makes us isolate ourselves from the very things we need in order to heal and mature. What served as once as protection becomes a prison to an adult. Thus, we hide from love!
